Meridian, MS

Eric and I traveled to Meridian to visit our good friends the Hedges (doesn't Eric look happy I am taking pictures?! haha). They just had their first baby girl, Jadyn Elise. Baby Jadyn is still in the NICU, but is doing FANTASTIC. Hopefully in a couple of weeks she will be coming home. Praise God for His continued faithfulness! Thanks for all your prayers, they are being felt in Meridian.
Best Buds.

I love this lady. She is such an encouragement to be around.
Can I also say I loved the town of Meridian! It was such a great place to visit! So many kind people. True southern hospitality!

Memorial Day

We won't ever forget.

Wednesday.

Does that counter really say 98 days? I can't believe we are under 100 now!!!! What a joy!

Eric is almost done here. Oh how the time slips away when you are having fun in the Florida sun. I am going to miss my friends here, but I am excited to see which Coast they will be headed to because we will be headed in the same direction in half a year. Crazy lovely mess. :)

What's up with the Backstreet Boys getting back together? Talk about a flash from the past! I heard them perform on tv and thought, surely those weren't the real boys we used to swoon over....but it was! Now if only we could swing New Kids on the Block....sigh.

Also, yesterday morning I woke up with a bag of *previously frozen* brussell sprouts in my bed. :) Guess I just needed to cool off and the sprouts made sense?! Strange Christen strange.

love-
C

Recent picture

Growing and growing. This is a picture at 25 weeks and 4 days...I believe she is approx. 1 and 1/2 pounds! I still have a bunch of growing to do...but wow, when I look back to where I started from it really is amazing! (Sorry no bare belly pic...it's too frightening for the blog....just imagine white, stretched skin and a belly button getting ready to pop. ;) )
Dear Reagan- This is a picture of you while you are still in Mommy' s belly. We are over half way now...I really believe we are all great team! --High-five.-- I am still getting used to you being in there, but I am so loving it. I especially love it when I feel you scoot around and Daddy especially loves to feel you kick. Thanks for keeping us entertained already. We love you!
P.S. What would you like for dinner?

New toy

Yesterday on base, a group of local sponsors held a Military Appreciation Picnic for all the guys/gals and their families. The Picnic was decked out with free food, music, goodies, and fun. Eric also took the time to show me around base, so I took a few pictures. Thanks to everyone who put on this great event. We really appreciate your kindness and support!

This is the prized dog park on base....I love the name! It was an old baseball diamond, very creative.

This is a CH-46 Sea Knight (or Phrog) and it is the aircraft that is being replaced by the Osprey.

Very cool.

Oohrah, water tower, oohrah.

This is an old trainer helicopter. All the trainers are painted orange and white so they can be easily identified.

More helos waiting to get washed. The hangar is huge with rows and rows of these guys.

Then Eric found this thing. Yes, they had Segways to test out at this picnic. Eric had a blast riding on this thing. I wanted to ride one too...but alas, the pregnant woman in me played it safe and didn't partake, just in case I lost control and fell off.

....doesn't Michael Scott ride one of these? Right before this picture he drove up and said, "Hey, I don't know if you noticed or not but I just did some pretty sweet jumps." That is a direct quote. No Napoleon, I did not see your jumps. I was eating my FREE SNO CONE. :)

Training hard. No work, no play.

Picture Tuesday

Great friends...miss you guys!!!!!

Normal wall decorations in our house. ;)

Tan boots- ruggedly handsome and they make a great door stopper.

This is a dress my friend bought for the baby!

How stinking cute is it?

I can't wait to see it on her!

This is the face she made when I asked her if she was excited to meet baby Reagan.

Pathetic isn't it?
She looks like a Mopey Moperson.

Hope you enjoyed these random pictures....updated belly picture to come.

Happy MAMAS DAY YOU MAMAS!

Hope ya'll had a great Mother's Day!

It's official. We have started planning our fifth move. Haha. ( I pause to insert a laugh here because it's a little bit insane....so keep our address written in pencil people! )

I love it.

I have come to the realization that traveling is cool with me. I am just so thankful to have my husband with me through it all! He really helps keeps me sane and laughing....and singing-- which is what we do a lot of in the car on those especially long treks. Grace has become a much better traveler too. I think she has finally started to realize she is really a part of our family and we are not taking her to the pound to drop her off. Poor thing.

One exciting thing we did realize today was that Reagan will get to see her Daddy get winged in 2010 or 2011 (depending on when he finishes). I know she will be as proud of him as I am...if not more.

Let's see. Pregnancy wise things are going ...cough cough ..normally?? and good! ( I say that because I am a first timer!) I am 24 weeks on Wed. and I have soooooooooooooooooooo much more energy it is fantastic. I feel like I have a new lease on life! Getting rounder is slowly becoming more uncomfortable...and I am glad that it is a slow pregression, because wow it takes some getting used to!

Eric can no longer keep up with my eating habits. I eat all 3 meals with several snacks in between (that are kinda like mini meals....) Reagan is a hungry girl!!! It really does amaze me how much I can put away and still be hungry 2-3 hours later! What did Mary do while she rode on that donkey? She must of had a mad stash of snacks on her long journey to Bethlehem! (Yes, these are the thoughts that go through my head on a daily basis.)

My friends are taking great care of me too...they laugh when I make silly absent minded prego mistakes....like shaking a pop before I open it because I think it is the right thing to do....or giving me extra helpings of ANY food (especially caaaaaaaaaaaaakkeeeee) that we happen to be eating. He he.

Oh I love cake.

Did I mention that?

My sweet tooth is the now the size of Texas. I really have to watch it! haha. It's so bad today I had to watch Willy Wonka (the Gene Wilder version) because I wanted CANDY and didn't have any! Pretty weird, right?

sigh.

Only the candyman can.....;)

loving you

loving life.

A gift from home.

My amazing sister, Mandy, made these burp cloths for the baby! How cute are they? They even came with directions on how to use them! And I quote, "Use: wipe Reagan's spit up." Thanks Mandy!

Rain rain.

I had an interesting trip to the store today. Hint number one. Don't wear white capris on a rainy day.

So after making a quick shopping trip this morning, I thought I was sooo lucky not to get rained on at the store. However, on the drive home it started to rain...heavy. So, being the constantly hungry pregnant beast that I have become, I decide I HAVE to make it into the apartment with my groceries because I absolutely have to start making pesto pizza for my mid morning snack. At that point I didn't care how wet I got, all I could think about was foooooood. So, I decide to make a run for it. (Which isn't really a run for me...it's just moving a little quicker.) I open the trunk, grab the sack with the Naan bread (which is what I use for my pizza crust)...eehhh better grab the milk too...and start my trek the house. Halfway through the parking lot I realize I am wear white capris...and well....they are becoming see through....due to the heavy rain. Oh well...right? I shrug it off. I can practically smell the pizza cooking in my oven....oregano...freshly sliced tomato....yum. Halfway up the stairs....the sack with the milk decides to rip and much to my dismay, I turn around just in time to watch my gallon of milk roll, clump, clump, down the stairs. I make a quick, but necessary, decision....and might I add, at this point, I a little peeved. I decide to leave the milk and come back for it....just in case the neighbors came out and got a glimpse of me in all my see through glory. Sigh. The important thing is...I made my pizza (and one for E too)and my craving was satisfied. ahh. It was def. worth it.

Ever have a day like that?

Acts of kindness

My husband made me a heart shaped pancake this morning. It made me smile and feel very much loved! At lunch, I gave him the last clean fork and I ate my lunch with a spoon. It's the little things that count. :)

What have you done for your spouse today?

What can we do for others?
